Mountain Mist Productions was formed in early 2000 by L P King as an alternative to the traditional print publishing medium and to promote e-books in Australia. A great deal has happened in that time and now Mountain Mist Productions is at the stage where print books are also a viable concern. The mission of Mountain Mist Productions continues to be to utilise modern technology to Publish quality Fiction, Non-Fiction and Poetry in both e-book and print versions; and to inform and entertain and above all to foster discussion and a love of reading in as wide a range of people as possible.

Mountain Mist Productions has since evolved into an exclusive group of Authors and Artists who use many mediums including Greeting Cards and Arts and Crafts to showcase their talents.

ABOUT L P KING

As principal of MOUNTAIN MIST PRODUCTIONS, L P King brings to the company a wealth of experience as a Writer, Editor, Teacher, Administrator and Business Manager. Her combined skills lend a sense of confidence to this E-Publishing initiative.

Lynette Patricia King is a former teacher of French, English, Modern History and Business English, she holds a Master of Letters (M Litt), Bachelor of Arts (BA), Diploma in Education (Dip Ed) and a Teacher’s Certificate. A wide range of artistic, cultural and academic interests reflect her diverse background in teaching, editing and business.

Born in Gulargambone, in Central Western New South Wales, she is a third generation Irish-Australian. She is the author of Dead Cedar, the exciting Mystery E-Novel published by Mountain Mist Productions. Dead Cedar is being used to aid the people of Gulargambone and now all net profits from the sale of every book will be donated to the town. The first in a series, Dead Cedar is one of many works to be offered by L P King.

Internet Security is of paramount concern to us and we have full secure online ordering facilities via our Online Catalogue, our individual Author pages and now via our Online Greeting Cards Shop.

 The e-books are sent via email Attachments and we virus-check every one before it is sent. Additionally, we utilise the latest Anti-virus software which is run continuously. Our Print On Demand Orders for books, cards and peripherals are also be handled via our secure ordering facility. We do everything we can to ensure your protection and so far we have not encountered any difficulties.

Having said all of that, we appreciate that some people are still reluctant to divulge their credit card numbers over the Internet and that is why we offer other alternatives, as you can pay by cheque or money order in Australian dollars.

Shopping over the Internet is commonplace nowadays and we have told you what we do to ensure our customers' protection. There are a number of things you can do as well. The first is never shop from a Site that does not guarantee full encryption of your details. Do not use a credit card that has a high credit limit and immediately contact your bank if you have problems. We are a fully registered Australian business (BN17129114) and L P King operates as a sole trader. Our shopfront is the Internet and the main site is located at www.1stmist.com . We also own and operate other sites but these all link back to our main site. We value our privacy above all else so we can appreciate how you feel about yours. We  list our address as a P O Box because unfortunately when you get to be of a higher profile your privacy is not always guaranteed. Our mail address is P O Box 1010 Rockhampton Qld 4700 Australia and people can phone us on  Australia 0438 066 975. Leave a message if we are out of ear-shot and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Our offices are in our private home and for security reasons we use our mobile number. We are in a rural area and mobile reception is not always so good so it is best to email us. Email is checked regularly and we'll generally respond within a few hours.

We are not one of those Sites that collects all sorts of information on our visitors. We never collect any information on anyone nor do we impart information of any kind to any individual or organisation. We use the details we receive from Paymate to process your order and to keep financial records for our own administration but nothing else. We don't crunch numbers the way some companies do! Keeping details private is important to us. This includes information pertaining to our business and we above all respect the rights and the privacy of our Authors.
