Richard Lee Fulgham Author of The Embracing Woods Remembers when... |
|
|
The Embracing Woods is a book to be handed down to the next generation. Here, Richard Lee Fulgham shares some of his memories of growing up in Manchester, Georgia, USA where Pine Mountain and the Great Pine Forest provided so much inspiration for the book. Unashamedly nostalgic, the Author concedes it was a time when life was much simpler and values were easily reognized; it was a time to remember and something to aspire to in the modern world. And this period in the 1950's and early 1960's was a time when nature writing and adventure stories took their place on bookshelves along with the most popular literature of the day. Perhaps you too can remember such a time... a time The Embracing Woods seeks to encapsulate.
